La Jolla Integrative Health, our emphasis is on gentle adjusting
techniques. Along with gentle spinal manipulation, Dr. Lilien uses
therapies such as ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, soft
tissue therapies, diathermy, postural / stretch / exercise instruction,
ergonomic counseling and many hands-on muscle techniques to assist in
speeding the healing process.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
We hope the following information answers any questions and concerns
you may have regarding your first appointment. If you still have

Your initial visit at La Jolla Integrative Health will include
completion of your health history with consultation and examination by
Dr. Lilien. She will determine whether your case is a chiropractic
case, and she will explain to you her evaluation and treatment
recommendations. The first visit will take approximately one hour, with
follow-up visits usually fifteen to thirty minutes. Dr. Lilien
schedules her patients to minimize any wait time.
The fee for initial visit and follow-up treatments depends on your
specific health insurance policy. Our office would be happy to contact
your health insurance company in order to determine your benefits once
you make your appointment. If you are planning on using your health
insurance coverage, please bring in your insurance card at your initial
visit.
For our non-insurance patients, Dr. Lilien offers a cash discount rate.
Payment for services can be made by cash, check, MasterCard, VISA and
Discover.
If you have scheduled an appointment due to a personal injury or
worker's compensation case, please bring in any applicable claims,
policy and attorney information.
